CHORUS

DRAMA KIDS

  • Begins Friday September 13 until mid May.

  • Participants will meet on Fridays from 3:45 until 4:45.

  • Fee is $60 per month plus a one time registration fee of $20.

  • Grades K - 5.

  • Limited to 18 students.

  • Location: Mrs. Carroll and Mrs. Simmons Classroom.

  • Staff: Drama Kids Personnel. 

DOUBLE DUTCH JUMP ROPE CLUB

  • Begins Thursday April 30 until May from 3:45 to 4:30 PM.

  • Participants will meet on Thursdays.

  • Fee is $5.

  • For grades 1 to 5.

  • Limited to 20 students.

  • Location: Library Alcove.

  • Staff: Mrs. Gia Marx.

ELEMENTARY ART CLUB

  • Begin October 2nd until January 29th.

  • Participants will meet on Wednesdays from 3:45 until 5:00pm

  • Fee is $20 and will include a shirt.

  • Grades 3-5.

  • Limited to 35 students.

  • Location: Art Room.

GO FAR
(fall session)

Grades 3-8

  • Begins Wednesday, September 11th until November 13th.

  • Meeting days are Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45 to 4:30.

  • Fee is $46

    • Includes pre-registration for April 18th Patriot Color Run!

    • Students will also be able to register individually for the Fall GoFAR race on November 16th (additional fee applies).

  • Limited to 40 students.

  • Location: Outside.

Grades K-1

  • Begins Wednesday, March 4 and run for 10 weeks.

  • Participants meet on Wednesday ONLY from 3:45 to 4:30.

  • Fee is $26

    • includes registration in the Patriot Color Run on April 18.

    • Students will also be encouraged to register individually for the Spring GoFar Race (additional fee applies).

  • Location: Outside.

Grades 2-8

  • Begins Monday, March 2 and run for 10 weeks.

  • Participants meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45 to 4:30 pm.

  • Fee is $46 for students who enroll in Spring session or $36 for students who enroll in both Fall and Spring sessions (so as to not pay for Color Run twice)

    • Includes registration fee for the Patriot Color Run on April 18.

    • Students will also be able to register individually for the Spring GoFar Race (additional fee applies).

  • Limited to 40 students.

  • Location: Outside.

JAZZ BAND

  • Begins October 24 until May.

  • Participants will meet on Thursday from 4 until 5:15.

  • Fee is $20 and includes a t-shirt.

  • Grades 6 – 8

  • Limited to 18 students.

  • Location: Music Room.

  • Staff: Mrs. Chrissy McIvor.

LEAN ON ME

This program focuses on anti-bullying and embracing cultural diversity.

  • Begin October and run until May.

  • Participants will meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:15 AM.

  • Fee is $20 and will include a t-shirt.

  • Grades 7 – 8.

  • Limited to 20 students.

  • Location: Ms. Mirise’s Classroom.

  • Staff: Mrs. Mirise.

LEGO LEAGUE

  • Begins Tuesday September 10 until October 15.

  • Participants will meet on Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45pm

  • Fee is $89.

  • Limited to 10 students in

  • Grades K-5 (Older students may participate by request)

  • Location: Mrs. Harris’ Classroom.

  • Staff: Brilliance After School personnel.

MAD SCIENCE

Fall Session

Begins Monday September 23 until November 11.

 

Winter Session

Begins February 3 until March 23.

 

  • Fee is $120 for 8 week session

  • Participants for both Fall and Spring will meet on Mondays from 3:45 to 4:45PM.

  • For children in K-5 grade.

  • Limited to 20 students.

  • Location: Mrs. Hicks’ Classroom.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ART CLUB

  • Begin Wednesday February 5th until May13th.

  • Participants will meet on Wednesdays from 3:45 until 5 pm.

  • Fee is $20 and will include a t-shirt.

  • Grades 6 – 8.

  • Limited to 35 students.

  • Location: Art Room.

PEP BAND

  • Begin October 30 and run through January.

  • Day and time based on basketball game schedule.

  • Preseason rehearsals are Wednesdays from 4 to 5 pm.

  • Fee is $20 and includes a t-shirt.

  • Limited to 15 students.

  • Location: Music Room and Gymnasium.

  • Staff: Mrs. Chrissy McIvor.

PRECISION GOLF SCHOOL

Bur-Mil’s Precision Golf School has partnered with Greensboro Academy to offer a 6 week after school golf program for students.

  • The program will begin on Monday September 16th 4:00 – 5:00 PM

  • Fee is $120 and a minimum of 5 students is needed for the program to run. 

  • Payment is made at the Precision Golf School.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

  • Begins in Late September or early October and run until May. 

  • Participants will meet on Mondays from 3:45 to 4:45 pm.

  • Fee is $100 and includes admission into tournament and  a t-shirt.

  • Grades 6 – 8

  • Limited to 15 students.

  • Location: Mr. Brooks Rudd’s Science Classroom.

  • Staff: Mr. Brooks Rudd and will require some parental involvement as well.

STUDENT COUNCIL

  • Is made up of elected representatives as follows:

    • Four elected representatives from 6th Grade

    • five elected representatives from 7th grade

    • 6 elected representatives from 8th grade

  • Elections will be held the first week in October

  • Information session will be held in mid-September

  • Location: Mr. AJ Lowman’s Classroom.

  • Staff: Mr. AJ Lowman.

SOCCER SHOTS

  • Begins on Wednesday September 11 and runs 13 weeks.

  • Participants will meet on Wednesdays from 3:45 – 4:30 pm

  • Fee is $174.

  • For grades 5-8.

CHESS CLUB

  • Begins November 6 until December 18.

  • Participants will meet  Wednesdays 3:45 -  4:45 pm.

  • Fee is $10 and does not include a T-shirt.

  • Grades 3 – 8

  • Limited to 18 students.

  • Location: Ms Tucker’s room.

  • Instructor: a qualified 8th grader with GA parent supervisors.

  • Kids are free to bring their own chess board if they have one.

  • No experience necessary

Sports Performance Training

  • Classes to begin

  • Participants have two meeting options:

    • Mondays & Wednesdays
      4 - 5 pm

    • Tuesdays & Thursdays 4 - 5 pm

  • A minimum of 5 students registered for program.

  • Location: Prolific Park

    • $99 parents provide transportation

    • $119 for Prolific Park provided transportation
