MORAL FOCUS COACH'S CORNER

Elementary School Parents (K-5 Grade):

Do you want to spend more time in your child's class?

Do you want to make a difference?

Then you should be a Moral Focus Classroom Coach!

What does a Moral Focus Classroom Coach do?

A classroom coach is a parent volunteer who presents each month's Moral Focus topic to the class in a variety of interactive ways. Crafts, songs, stories and online resources can be used.

When do I have to do it?

The time and day is worked out with your child's teacher. Most teachers ask you to come in once per week for about 30 minutes. Ideally each class will have at least two volunteers and you can alternate weeks or months...whatever works for you.

Are materials provided?

You are given a folder with the list of each month's virtue, ideas for crafts and activities, stories, etc. There are also books set aside for Moral Focus in the library that you may use. Each month a craft and instructions will be provided. You may use all of these resources or none. You may certainly do your own thing - we'd love it if you shared your ideas also!

How do I get involved?

Please talk to your child's teacher about being a Moral Focus coach.
